Country mouse goes to the City...

Last week we took a day trip to Seattle and met up with the Otter's family at Pike's Place Market.
We got up and were on the road by 8:30, a stunning feat on a day off. Brandon drove while I snored; we parked at a bus terminal and made it downtown. For less than the parking in downtown Seattle we parked and avoided the wild traffic of a big city, by using the public transit system. Yehaw!
We arrived a little earlier than his folks, so we poked around for a while and took in the sites. At one point we were serenaded by a book-store owner who mostly communicated via song.
It is the time for tulips here in Washington. It looks like someone found some early morels too! Once upon a time, my mother got one of these beautiful pepper strands, it was too gorgeous to touch for a while.

I could have just stared at the flower displays all day. The variety of tulips is astounding, they are just so magnificent!
I mean, look at them!

You can't go without taking this shot!

Our culminating adventure was to ride on this mammoth Ferris wheel. Apparently it is 175 ft high I'm not terribly afraid of heights, but being in a rocking little cage one hundred feet in the air takes some adjusting to!
The view of the sea and mountains was quite nice, thankfully it was a beautiful sunny day!

The city skyline, doesn't quite do it for me like it seems to for other people. But you can see the Space Needle!

Touristy pictures are required, annnd there aren't really that many photos of us together anyway.
And that was our adventure!
